Electro mechanical Pinballs, better known as EM´s were produced until 1976 when they were slowly replaced by the EE´s. They had these ratteling score reels and a 3-5 note xylophone chime unit in the lower cabinet which started to play different sounds depending the pointage.The entire electronic was driven by relays and coils only. Most of the cabinets were designed with geometric figures and symbols, had printed back glass designs, which are very much sought after these days. Playfields were kept simple, no ramps but already with gadgets like the roto-targets, captive balls and of course with bumpers and sling shots.
