SEGA was founded in 1940 in Honolulu Hawaii as Standard Games and provided amusement games for the US Military Bases. Eleven years later, in 1951, they moved to Japan and registered the business under SErvice GAmes of Japan, or short and smart : SEGA. Booming Business made SEGA to leader of coin-operated video acrade games and other consoles and in the mid-60´s they eventually started to produce Pinball machines under the names Segasa and Sonic.
As of 1995 with the launch of Mary Shelley´s Frankenstein, SEGA produced 5-6 different machines each year, which had a bigger Display and were six players now. In 1997 the backbox became a face lift, first game with a SEGA Showcase was the Space Jam but a year later they retuned back to the standard back box.
SEGA produced until Sterns takeover in 1999 a noumerous Top-Games such as Harley Davidson, Twister, Apollo 13 and Goldeneye
